Qualifications: Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation 4+ years of project management experience OR a bachelor’s degree in construction management, building construction, engineering, or a similar field Positive attitude and commitment to our company values Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Proven leadership skills and the ability to delegate work Exceptional time management skills, as well the ability to estimate work effort and time needed for various construction jobs Good writing skills for proposals and reports Excellent technical skills and an understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints Cost and risk management skills, as well as problem-solving skills Capable of making important decisions under pressure PMP or similar project management certifications a plus Responsibilities: Provide contract review and negotiation Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met Acquire equipment and material, as well as monitor stocks to handle inadequacies in a timely manner Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities Supervise the work of construction crew and give them guidance when needed Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Initiate project management process at receipt of contract Create WBS and begin project planning phase Chair project planning meeting with project management team and field personnel Track, document, and report through project lifecycle |
