Overview:
Under the direction Director of the Strategic Project Management Office, the Project Manager will be rresponsible for partnering with management and key leaders to identify project requirements that support strategic initiatives and special projects. This position is primarily responsible for effective planning, managing, and implementation of highly visible projects that will improve enterprise infrastructure and promote service integration of AltaMed’s clinic services. Projects assigned are broad in scope with significant financial, process, information systems and organizational impacts and may involve multiple departments across regions. This position will support the department’s effort to institutionalize project management skills and lean processes throughout AltaMed including the clinical sites with the aims of improving patient health outcomes and business results.
Responsibilities:
Leads and provides expert leadership to highly visible, sensitive and multi-faceted projects.
Implement project plans by tracking action items, communicating updates, updating project boards, conducting design and implementation reviews, researching, resolving issues, responding to inquiries, and coordinating/assigning deliverables with internal stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered with quality while on schedule and budget.
Develops KPIs, and metrics to measure deliverables of assigned projects & programs
Maintains optimum balance of project quality, delivery, and cost. Continuously monitor for risks, take accountability to address/overcome barriers to success. Escalates opportunities & issues as necessary to meet project objectives.
Provides project staff leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manages work of outside consultants.
Provides guidance to project team on performance and productivity issues.
Actively participates or may lead the data analysis process and develops recommendations and action plans.
Instructs and educates on all aspects of project; participate in developing training programs for different audiences.
Effectively facilitates dialogues between multiple stakeholder groups.
Effectively communicates to various senior level audiences through a variety of communication vehicles.
Establishes effective professional business relationships with all levels of management.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, organizational management, or related field is required;
Master’s degree in business, healthcare or quantitative discipline, will be given preference
Minimum 3 years of experience required in project management and data analysis with successful deployment demonstrating measurable positive results.
Experience in health care process improvement and health information technology implementation experience strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience, process reengineering, organizational design and/or change management experience preferred.
Business consulting experience with a major firm strongly preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification and Certified Project Management Professional strongly preferred. |
