Job Description : This position is responsible for managing all incoming/outgoing food and beverage. Overseeing the staff receiving product, double checking invoicing, ensuring quality meats our standards, proper storage and issuing of the product and other related duties as assigned. This position is full-time and must be able to work weekends and the last day of each month.Essential Functions include:Reports directly to the Director of Purchasing regarding all assigned dutiesOversees, assigns, and delegates duties to storeroom clerksOrders product based on the needs of the hotelWorks with vendors to achieve the best competitive price without sacrificing qualityEnsures received product delivered is accurateVerifies product quality and quantity at time of deliveryStores product, FIFO, rotating stock as necessaryCertifies all outgoing product has been requisitioned and entered correctlyEnter daily invoices into our order management softwareCommunicates shortages, substitutes, and pricing adjustments to the food and beverage teamWorks with Chefs on special ordersConduct monthly inventoriesMaintains a clean and orderly storeroom in accordance with Food and Beverage PoliciesMust be able to lift 50lbs regularlyOther duties as directedMinimum Education:High School Diploma or equivalentValid Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s CertificatePrefer One year experience in the Food/Beverage IndustryA candidate with food and produce knowledgeProficient with the use of computers, knowledge and use of Word, Excel, and OutlookMinimum Experience/Abilities:Minimum 21 yrs. of ageEnglish verbal and written communication skillsValid Driver’s License with cleaning driving recordMust pass a drug testAbility to cooperatively interact with others hotel personnel in professional mannerMaintain a Professional appearanceJob Type: Full-timePay: From $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Purchasing Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
