Job Description : | SUMMARY: Responsible for the Quality System and for directing the quality assurance efforts in accordance with the requirements and expectations of specifications and customer requirements, and in accordance with the strategies and expectations of the company. Ensure conformance to ISO, AS, and all applicable standards. Supervises and coordinates the workflow for the department. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure Company’s ability to meet contract requirements from customers. Ensure that adequate systems and programs are developed and maintained to assure the quality compliance of in-coming, in-process, and finished materials. Participate in the development of short and long-range continual improvement plans. Direct and coordinate the implementation of plans to assure that customers’ needs are satisfied and that company goals and objectives are achieved. Interface with customers to identify and meet their quality requirements and to resolve their quality problems. Participate, and/or lead, specific customer-driven quality initiatives. Develop and conduct supplier reviews and improvement programs, in cooperation with purchasing department, to assure that supplier performance meets company expectations. Oversee the implementation, and quality related maintenance, of Nadcap Plating operations. Participate in review and disposition of non-conforming material. Responsible for internal and external quality-related audits. Perform other duties as required by management. III. JOB REQUIREMENTS: BS Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. 10 years experience in the quality discipline. 5 years experience in management. Understand and have a working knowledge of process control. Working knowledge of various MIL-Specs: MIL-I-45208, MIL-STD-45662, MIL-STD-105D, ANSI Y-14.5, MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-1344, MIL-STD-790, ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, QPL. Experience in implementing and maintaining quality programs for government & commercial customers. Familiarity and working knowledge of general machining and plating processes. Good computer skills in Microsoft based programs. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Supervisory and organizational skills to implement and complete performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and all personnel related issues pursuant to personnel policies and procedures. Experience in customer interactions, and ability to navigate through compliance audits. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement. Coordinate and supervise work outside of regular hours. Ability to work in a team environment encompassing multiple disciplines.
