Quality Management System ManagerJoin our Brownsville, TN team.Celebrating 98 years…Teknor Apex Company is a privately held, global material science company founded in 1924 and headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. We manufacture for our eight divisions in 9 locations in the U.S., and one each in Singapore, China, Belgium and Germany.The QMS Manager will stay current with latest ISO and other quality standards and certifications and update plant requirements as needed while ensuring that all relevant certifications are maintained. He/She will facilitate Quality/Productivity Teams in each of the TATN plants using Lean Principles and Six Sigma Tools. The teams will address all functions; Manufacturing, Quality, Environmental, Projects, and Safety. Must have the ability to work across various functional areas and effectively interface with customers during audits.Responsibilities: Continue QMS to ensure certifications for all four plants at Teknor Apex Tennessee Company (TATN) for the ISO-9001:2015 Quality Systems by serving as Management Representative. Activities involved with MR responsibilities include.Conduct Management Review Meetings. As requested by ISO-9001: 2015 element 5.5.2 (Target Date: once per year, November)Lead internal audits using the ISO-9001: 2015 standard for each plant at TATN; publish results and follow-up corrective actions initiated as a result of audit findings. (Target Date: each plant will be audited once per year).Ensure the effectiveness of the ICAR system. Accomplished by ensuring the status report for open ICARs are monitored and working with Plant Mgrs. To complete. Furthermore, all ICARS that are ready to be closed will be verified that the corrective actions were completed and effective.Ensure Internal Auditors are trained, via the CBTs: Auditing ISO-9000 Quality Systems and an In-depth View of the ISO-9001:2015 Standard.Work with the management teams from each of the plants to address any NCN issued by the DNV auditor.Continue QMS to ensure certification for TATN-ETP Lab for the ISO-17025:2017 Quality Systems by serving as Management Representative.Conduct Management Review Meetings. As requested by ISO-17025: 2017 element 5.5.2 (Target Date: once per year, November) Lead internal audits using the ISO-9001: 2015 standard for each plant at TATN; publish results and follow-up corrective actions initiated as a result of audit findings. (Target Date: each plant will be audited once per year).Lead internal audits using the ISO-17025: 2017 standard for TATN-ETP Lab; publish results and follow-up corrective actions initiated as a result of audit findings. (Target Date: each plant will be audited once per year).Lead Proficiency audit for all Lab tests included in the ISO-17025:2017 accreditation. This includes working with the Lab Mgr. to address any nonconformances. Issue ICARs and manage completion of the ICARs including effectiveness review and validation.Facilitate Quality/Productivity Teams in each of the TATN plants using Lean Principals and Six Sigma Tools. The teams will address all functions; Manufacturing, Quality, Environmental, Projects, and Safety. This includes maintaining meeting minutes and ensuring the team stays focused on the issue at hand.Lead and facilitate customer on site and virtual audits for all plantsStay current with latest ISO and other quality standards and certifications and update plant requirements as neededAble to lead plant efforts to obtain any new quality certifications if neededEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements: Education equivalent to four years of college including or supplemented by successfully completed course work ISO-9001 and ISO-17025 may be used in combination with experience to meet the minimum qualifications.Five years of progressively responsible experience administering ISO-9001 and ISO-17025 systems including responsibility for system configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and support, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.Working knowledge of ISO-9001:2015 Management SystemsWorking Knowledge of ISO-17025:2017 Management SystemsWorking knowledge of Six Sigma (Green Belt or above)Working Knowledge of Lean PrinciplesWorking knowledge of team facilitation skills.
