Job Description : Dayton Parts is seeking a Safety Manager to join our growing team in Durant, OK! The Safety Manager is a safety professional that reviews, evaluates, and analyzes work environments and designs programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. The Safety Manager organizes and administers approved site safety programs and plans. The Safety Manager is also responsible for compliance with OSHA policies and procedures as well as other regulatory standards. Apply today to find out what makes Dayton Parts a great place to work!Primary Duties: Maintain, oversee training of and review all written regulatory compliance programs as needed.Manage a safe work environment that ensures compliance to regulations and meets facility safety goals.Serve as approving authority in Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Actions.Develop, implement, and administer site specific Safety Plans to include compliance with OSHA policies and procedures, and other regulatory standards.Provide leadership with regard to safety compliance, company policies, and operational quality.Reports to and coordinates with reporting manager about all questions and issues regarding safety.Oversee on-site Hazard/Risk Assessments as well as safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and deficiencies that expose the organization to loss or failure to comply with regulatory requirements.Responsible for ensuring that workers are properly trained regarding company-specific and regulatory safety requirements.Responsible for creating, maintaining, and disseminating all required and appropriate reports and documentation related to safety activities.Facilitate the creation of maintaining and communicating safety-related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring that they are followed.Ensure transition and maintenance of all compliance and training documentation into Acadia for proper document control.Responsible for collaborating with the Vice President of Human Resources with the enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including making recommendations regarding appropriate discipline for infractions.Responsible for collaborating with Safety Director on corporate wide initiatives for standardization and consistency across entire Dorman Products enterprise.Works closely with Human Resource department regarding worker’s compensation, Employee Return to Work Program and restricted duty policy execution.Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.Develop and support hands-on and e-training on various safety compliance topics.Must be or willing and able to be First Aid, CPR, AED, and BBP Certified and willing to render aid as needed.Maintain liaisons with outside organizations such as fire departments, etc.Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, or asbestos management plans.Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for analysis as needed/required.Ensure proper installation of all safety devices on machinery, or direct device installation.Continuing education to stay current with the latest developments, skills, and information required for the safety field.Setting the vision and strategy for the site safety program.Education or Experience: Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Safety or comparable preferred.5 to 7 years of experience as a safety related professional and/or in an Operations Manufacturing role.Previous experience with Job Safety Analysis and Ergonomics.Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, and NIOSH rules and regulations.Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with contributors at all levels of management.Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done.Knowledge of current industry safe practices; lead/facilitate OSHA regulatory inspections.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Acadia, and Ceridian.Must be willing to travel 10% of the time.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
