Job Description The Operations Manager will report to the VP of Operations. The major responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following accounting activities:Primary Responsibilities· Full-time Operations Manager who will be an important point of contact for Client Contract· Ensure all duties are performed to ensure contractual compliance· Evaluate all incident reports and individual time sheets for accuracy· Notify Client Project Manager in the event of Officer No-Shows· Day-to-day Contractor operations within the assigned tasks include hiring, training, disciplining and terminating personnel potentially managing projects at multiple locations across the country· Build, improve, and maintain relationships with client; develop & retain personnel; coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account· Meet or exceed cost-saving/efficiency & operational goals while providing exceptional customer service· Maintain or oversee maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for personnel and provide after-hour emergency response as required· Oversee onboarding and on the job training / licensing and any local requirements· Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately· Develop staff in both technical and professional skills· Manage personnel (coaching, counseling, disciplining, training, annual formal performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)· Ensure personnel records are updated and accurate· Ensure communication of policies and company announcements· Meet all staffing requirements· Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific on the job training, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for Contractor Personnel· Develop/maintain operational procedures so that valid, site-specific operations and post orders are always available for emergency reference by the security staff· Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the Site(s), maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists· Responsible for working with client to resolve or escalate all day-to-day issues related to the Deliverables for the applicable Area, including Contractor Personnel management, staffing, SLAs, continuous improvement, communication, documentation and trainingQualifications:· Speak, read, and write English· Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related is preferred· Additional experience working in the fields of Private Security, Law Enforcement, or applicable Military experience· Four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field· Transit experience preferred· Minimum 5 years of professional‐level experience required. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military required. Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry a plus· Current state driver’s license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), and ability to safely operate a Company vehicle required· Must be willing to travel – position requires frequent travel· Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.· Demonstration of strong customer service orientation required, with ability to effectively resolve client issues in a professional and service‐focused manner and to de‐escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant required· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required including the ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email a considerable plus· Professional, articulate; and able to use good independent judgment and discretion· Ability to effectively enforce post orders, security standards, and company policies equitably and consistently· Experience in hiring, developing, motivating and retaining quality staff· Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required· Must be available to work outside normal shift schedule on an as‐needed basis, and must be accessible by phone 24/7 for emergency responseJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Work Location: One location |
