The Senior Product Manager for Terminal Solutions will have accountability for product managing the Group’s range of terminal solutions across multiple hardware suppliers.
He will be working closely alongside Commercial, Financial and Technical colleagues.
He will share accountability for the terminal product roadmap with the Product Director and be a subject matter expert on all aspects of terminal hardware and the associated software deployed.
It will be a requirement that the individual’s market knowledge be kept up to date through attendance to industry events, awareness of market trends and through frequent analysis of competitors.
What you’ll be doing
Manage the product relationship with all terminal vendors. Be the focal point of contact and escalation for relationship management for product development, release cycles and support related issues.
Own the product roadmap for all Planet payment terminal types. Document release management, product features, new terminal types with geographical and segment relevance.
Work alongside technical and relevant project teams on technical documentation and delivery items as well as the pipeline of related terminal product feature/functionality improvements.
Ensure Procurement and Stock Management teams are aligned with current product proposition and sourcing from 3rd party vendors. Work in partnership on pricing proposition ensuring commercial teams have required tools and data.
Work closely with commercial colleagues on terminal product knowledge training and where required play an active role in the presentation and selling of terminal solutions.
Work closely with Marketing team in ensuring the product features are accurately reflected in first class product collateral and relevant market campaigns.
Manage the customer experience facility and relevant exhibition and events to provide demos and expertise for all aspects of the terminal range with existing and potential clients.
Support the Product Director, Terminal Solutions in defining the core terminal product proposition across all market segments and geographies.
Be the go-to product expert on terminal solutions – both hardware and software related and the bridge between sales and technical, operational & financial teams to ensure an efficient product lifecycle and supply processes.
Maintain excellent working knowledge and insight of the terminal ecosystem – including suppliers, partners, markets, and competitors.
Who you are
Business/financial/technical/marketing university degree or equivalent would be valued.
Proven product manager experience or equivalent with a PSP, terminal vendor or similar.
A strong understanding of the customer present payment market, technologies, and the leading terminal brands.
Track record or working effectively with commercial and technical teams to successfully deploy product and improve client uptake.
Ability to take business requirement and translate them into detailed product specifications or enhancements.
Experience of product lifecycle, managing release cycles and backlog.
Analytical approach to complex problems, generating pragmatic solutions with consensus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with partners, customers, business and technical team members across the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communication style.
Ability to effectively communicate and work in a distributed environment with colleagues located in different geographical regions across various levels of departments and organizations to facilitate meetings with business and technical audience.
Detail oriented planner with ability to manage workload, capacity and prioritization with a structured approach.
Pro-active and organized to function well and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment.
Fluent in English.
Any European additional languages are consider as an asset
