We are current right in the middle of major transformational journey of adopting containers/kubernetes into our software and SW development infra-structure/tools with goals to elevate the product development velocity, productivity and quality to the world-class elite. This team is responsible for architecting, developing and delivering optical software for FUJITSU 1FINITY product family. This job description enables the candidate to join among a wide range of functions including SW DevOps factory, SW frameworks in different layers of the Fujitsu System Software stack, product software in 1FINITY product stacks. As part of the optical software organization, you will collaborate with peers in Network System Software, Product Software Development, and Software Framework Development organizations globally. You are also to collaborate and influence peers in global Technology Business organization in US, Japan and India. We are seeking a Manager of Software Development in our Richardson, Texas office Responsibility: Collaboration and Co-creation with gTBU to establish/review/converge on the AHA/RSA scope moving from POI to POR FSS/1FINITY Product development planning, execution and delivery per gTBU Roadmap, to build the right thing Establish product budget and resource planning in support of product roadmap Engineering Customer Support for products in NA and Domestic markets Horizontal Software and Product quality insurance and feature uniformity among FSS/1FINITY products YoY product and solution offering QCD improvements YoY DevOps Factory improvements with quarterly KPIs Skills & Knowledge: 15+ years of professional experience in Engineering: 10+ years product development Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Master’s Degree or Ph. D. Degree a plus; 3+ years experiences managing team of engineers with working experiences and skillsets on optical transport products Solid understanding all technical standards & protocols in Optical Transport technology, Software Architectures and Tools Has experience level appreciation on the importance of non-functional attributes of successful products, able to put in the right check and balances in building up product FITNESS (Performance/Upgrade/Scale/Logging) projects Understanding of HW architecture and HW/SW interface design principles/processes Demonstrated track record defining direction and providing specific instruction for engineering projects/programs leveraging personal knowledge and organizational skills to increase team efficiency. Ability to hire, coach and build highly competitive and purposeful development teams Demonstrated research, critical thinking and problem solving skills via prior work experience.
