Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.
Under the supervision of the Radiology Director coordinates the daily workflow and performs diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results. Oversees quality of scans, protocol development, quality metrics, staffing, process improvement, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Responsible for personnel management and annual reviews. Will be knowledgeable and competent in cleaning and high level disinfection of ultrasound probes and other equipment as necessary. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Completion of an AMA approved Ultrasound School training program or an armed services program that qualifies for approval. Current certification by ARDMS with RVT (vascular) certification. Must maintain current registry. Maintains annual competency for cleaning and high level disinfection of ultrasound probes. Attends continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level. Must maintain BLS.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an AMA approved Ultrasound program.
Experience: At least 2 years recent hospital Ultrasound experience. Prior leadership experience preferred.
Special Qualifications: None required.
Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction by the Radiology Director and Supervisor. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
