In this role, you will build a team of project managers to lead large internally-facing projects to strategically improve manufacturing and supply chain operations for various spaceflight systems. You drive the team’s impact on all aspects of procuring, manufacturing, and testing liquid-fueled rocket engines and human-rated launch vehicles. Your projects will involve chartering teams of all disciplines related to hardware design and manufacturing, to plan and execute projects that improve corporate efficiency, reduce risk, standardize business practices, and above all improve Blue Origin’s effectiveness at delivering spaceflight hardware to market. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will manage a portfolio of large manufacturing, supply chain and product development initiatives for various spaceflight system. In a management role, you will build a small team of Project Managers who are each responsible for manufacturing and supply chain initiatives to improve business planning, control account management, risk management, resource planning data management, and schedule recovery efforts. You will implement a highly organized, well-communicated approach to maintaining our project management data. By chartering and building a project management operating system, you will enable your team to monitor progress through performance metrics, remove roadblocks, report on progress to executive leadership, and foster a strong connection between Blue Origin programs and Integrated Supply Chain. Extensive experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, where leadership by influence was a requirement for success. 10+ years of experience in Aerospace, or a related hardware manufacturing discipline. Have proven experience running multiple large projects or initiatives simultaneously. Experience transitioning development products to production. 5+ years of management experience. Fluent user of scheduling software. Experience working Supply Chain, Logistics, Production or Engineering in an Equipment Manufacturer Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Bachelor of Science, Master’s degree in an Engineering, Business Administration or Related Discipline. Experience with data architecture. Experience with software development, product development Manned space flight production experience Project Management Professional certification.
