Job Description : Overview As the primary point of contact between BGS and municipalities, this position coordinates the functions of the State Energy Management Program (SEMP) Expansion with participating municipalities through extensive education and outreach. This position collaborates with SEMP Expansion stakeholders on program development, measurement, and verification. Stakeholders include Efficiency Vermont, Department of Public Service, Vermont League of Cities and Towns and the Vermont Low Income Trust for Electricity. This position will support the BGS Energy Project Managers, Engineers, and Municipalities across Vermont to gather information, update and enter data, track projects from concept to completion and produce reports as needed. Municipal contacts may include both individual municipal employees as well as Regional Planning Commission staff. In addition, this position will coordinate and track all energy utility incentives and rebates associated with municipal projects and oversee the municipal energy auditing pipeline. This position will support the SEMP Program Manager to further the development of municipal energy management policies and programs included in the State Energy Management Program Expansion. While the position is based at BGS offices in Montpelier, teleworking is available for three days per week excluding Mondays. This is a limited service position through 02/29/2024. Environmental Factors Work is performed in a standard office setting with some travel to state owned facilities to oversee energy audits required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, building energy systems science, public administration, field related to energy, business, or accounting. OR High school diploma AND four (4) years of experience in energy programs, energy efficiency, renewable energy, or related field.
