Your Responsibilities As a Territory Business Manager for John Deere Canada ULC, you will serve as the primary business lead and work with channel partners to develop and monitor Total AOR Leadership plans, lead annual sales planning and goal-setting efforts, including sales/marketing plans, unit budget, inventory planning and lead execution of channel development activities. In addition you will Promote sale of products and services to channel partners and end-users and is ultimately accountable for meeting sales goals and market share goals. Manage company assets to maximize return. Monitor channel partner performance and replace or upgrade low- performing channel partners. Manage the contractual relationship, serve as a liaison and resolve issues between the channel partner and the Company. Counsel channel partners on product, marketing, financial and/or management-related matters. Deliver training to channel partners, Company employees, or customers. Work with other divisions to maintain a good working relationship between channel partners and the Company to maximize enterprise objectives. Support recruitment and development of channel partners. What Skills You Need 5+ years in Ag and Turf industry in sales and marketing experience Experience working with large dealer networks Demonstrated field experience, managing a large profitable territory Ability to apply business concepts and tools to tactical and strategic initiatives working closely with a dealer organization Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Ability to travel 60% within the assigned territory to work with dealers and visit customers and the US to attend meetings, sometimes on short notice. What Makes You Stand Out A high level of understanding Ag industry. Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network within an assigned geographic area of responsibility and broad product knowledge. Understanding of customer segments and their requirements. Proven ability to influence without authority in working with dealers and field managers Sales, objection handling and negotiation skills training and/or experience.
