| Job Description : | The Traffic Manger is responsible for scheduling all outbound shipments, both domestic and export, and acts as the logistical liaison between Customer Service, Carriers, Shipping and Receiving and customer contacts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Arranges for the delivery of material and productsManages shipping rates, safety standards, and shipping schedulesOversees communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments like sales and dispatchGathers data for quotes, including, freight rates, dimensions, pallet count, etc.Manages claims for damaged goods or materials lost in transitSchedules shipments and creates shipping documentation, including Bill of MaterialsWorks closely with Shipping and Receiving to effectively coordinate order shipment and paperworkKey point of contact for Logistics for both internal and external customersSources carriers, brokers, agents to help improve logisticsCreates reports related to shipments and shipping statusMaintains and updates information in current ERP system regarding new and existing orders and entry of data updatesWorks toward increasing knowledge and understanding of such things as international shipments, chemical properties and use of our products, and the BioSpectra business modelKeeps direct manager informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reportsAssists production planner, inventory control and raw material purchasing, as neededOther duties may be assigned, as deemed appropriate by managementQualifications: 2 years traffic/logistics experience preferredExcellent customer service and client management skillsStrong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyGood working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsAbility to learn chemical properties and how BioSpectra’s products are usedWork Hours & Schedule: Non-Exempt PositionMinimum of 8 Hour Shift, 5 Days a Week, or other agreed upon documented scheduleAbility and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilitiesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location |
