Job Description : | Leads the Information Security function in developing and implementing compliant information security controls and management strategies to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. Establishes and maintains the enterprise vision, strategies and policies to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Identifies, evaluates and communicates information security risks in a manner which meets regulatory requirements and technology trends, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the company. Leads the company’s cybersecurity program ensuring compliance with current regulations. Develops an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization. Directs the security staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining information security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical, personal and reputation risk. Manages all elements of the company’s information systems security management program. This includes developing solutions for corporate-wide encryption, intrusion detection services, and access control to the company’s systems and networks as well as the supervision of security systems vulnerability assessments and audits on enterprise security systems. Coordinates and participates in investigations concerning corporate compliance issues, security violations, infractions of company policy or any other act that adversely affects the company. Develops relationships with high-level law enforcement and international counterparts to include in-country security and international security agencies, intelligence and private sector counterparts worldwide. Facilitates and supports the acquisition of new contracts requiring access to classified information. Manages federal security regulations that relate to company operations. Coordinates with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations. Other Job Requirements Responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in Security Administration, Law Enforcement, Computer Studies or Management. Leadership skills to provide direction to the management and professional staff within the organization. Ability to develop consensus with an organizational climate of diverse operational activities and often conflicting regulations imposed by agencies with regulatory jurisdiction. Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization including briefing executive management and governance Board members on status of security issues. Emotional maturity to understand impact and sensitivity of security issues. Every employee must understand, comply with and attest to the security responsibilities and security controls unique to their position; and comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures. |
