Job Description : | POSITION SUMMARYTexas Motorplex Ticket Manager is responsible for all ticketing operations at the Track, including recruiting, hiring and training new ticketing team members, able to reconcile event revenue and provide revenue reports for events, providing excellent customer service to ticket holders in person, by email and in person.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Event revenue reporting through computerized tickets systems or through roll stock sales.Lead, motivate, develop and coach ticketing staff.Work with third party event promoters to make sure that all ticketing expectations and needs are met.Prospect and build group sales.Assist with the creation, planning, communication, and implementation of ticket promotions and programs.Look for avenues to grow ticket revenue.Monitor, manage and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear standard operating procedures and goals and follow up with staff with appropriate feedback and direction for development.Work with all departments to track and fulfill ticketing needs.Represent Texas Motorplex and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.Perform various day of event duties as needed.Perform other related tasks as assigned.EVENT DAY RESPONSIBLITIES: Oversee and assist the setup and placement of all ticketing staff for the event, including Competitor Gates, Box Office, Front Gate, VIP/Suite Entrances.Be the primary point of customer service regarding ticketing and assist guests when needed with any customer needs as they come up.Assist in the proper setup of all suite, VIP and premium areas.Reconcile ticket sellers and provide revenue reporting base on sales.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or other related field is not required but is a plus.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in ticket sales role, Account Executive or Sr. Account Executive is preferred.Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word.Previous experience with computerized ticketing systems like eTix, Ticketmaster, Archtics.Past recruiting and training experience preferred.Previous experience with group sales.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESStrong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.Self-motivating personality, eager to succeed and increase revenue.Confidence, tact and persuasive manner.High stamina and ability to handle pressure.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management.Strong networking skills.Approachable and diplomatic.Professional appearance and demeanor.Enthusiastic, energetic and imaginative, as well as demonstrated leadership and motivational skills.Practice regular and prompt attendance.PHYSICAL ABILITIESThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
