As a designated Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer, enforces federal laws and Federal Reserve policies and regulations to protect life, property and assets. Supervises daily Law Enforcement Unit (LEU) Uniformed Operations. This position is an essential function of the Bank and may require extended work hours and/or work during emergency or crisis situations. This position will reside in our Cleveland Office Essential Accountabilities 1. Supervise Shift Operations – Acts as shift commander of LEU operations to supervise daily shift operations, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and general orders. Utilizes independent thinking and problem solving skills to ensure issues are addressed promptly and when necessary prepares written documentation and/or informs LEU management. 2. Performance Management – Establishes and maintains a working environment conducive to positive morale, inclusion, quality, innovation and teamwork. Evaluates and provides ongoing training and development of staff including performance reviews and regular feedback. Recommends and in some cases administers staffing changes and disciplinary actions. 3. Administrative Duties – Carries out administrative functions to include, but not limited to; generation of daily shift assignments ensuring adequate coverage, daily testing of pertinent department equipment, review of shift reports and logs ensuring completion, accuracy, and appropriate distribution of information. 4. Serves as a representative of the LEU, at internal and external meetings. 5. Participates in the planning and execution of interviews boards for internal promotions and new hires. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Adheres to the Bank’s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related work experience or Associate’s Degree (or 60 college credits) and 5+ years of related work experience to include 2+ years of leadership experience Knowledge and Skills Basic ability to operate office equipment Basic ability to perform independent research Intermediate Customer Service skills Intermediate Leadership/Supervisory/Management skills Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Basic presentation skills Intermediate problem solving and analytical skills Intermediate public speaking skills Intermediate knowledge of regulations, procedures, and practices of a specific discipline: LEU Standard Operating Procedures and General Orders Intermediate Relationship management Basic strategic thinking/planning Intermediate teamwork/collaboration skills Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands and General Working Conditions Law Enforcement: Employees in this position require physical capabilities such as lifting, climbing and crawling along with the ability to work with their hands. They can be exposed to uncomfortable areas (such as crawl spaces) to investigate. Exposure to climate elements (internal/external) will occur based upon task rotation. Ability to lift and carry equipment required. Due to being a first responder in the event of emergency, taking and passing periodic physical fitness tests is part of the requirements to perform the job. Ability to shoot a weapon and firearm training is necessary.
